Hotel stay for the BBL Cricket at Marvel Stadium
Hotel is located right opposite Southern Cross Railway Station. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was small but very clean, with a very comfortable bed, and a very comfortable pillow. The shower in the bathroom is nice and large, and bathroom is stocked with all the required bathroom necessities. There is Tea and Coffee available in the room. If you are traveling to Melbourne by train for a sporting evet, entertainment or to catch the Skybus to the Airport, and you plan to stay overnight then this is the hotel to stay, as the Skybus terminal in at Southern Cross Station as well

Wonderful hotel and superb service
This is my fifth stay at Move Melbourne on Spencer and yet again the facilities, service and dining opportunities delivered. We were there to celebrate my birthday in a Suite which had the most luxurious bathroom. The welcome amenity of chocolates and wine was a lovely surprise. The pool area was immaculately maintained and a true oasis. The dining at Miss Mi was sensational and the chocolate hour was a treat. We are looking forward to our next staycation foe another special occasion

Great location & roomy
Great size room & amenities. The bathroom sprays, gels, shampoos are exceptional. On wall TV set up for casting from your phone. Worked ok to start then would not load. Very helpful staff came to room disconnected TV did a reboot & all no problem. Buffett breakfast ok - biggest downside is the breakfast space could not cover all guests at peak time. Location excellent opposite Sthn Cross Station so interstate visitors catch sky bus & walk across road

A decent mid-range option
A hotel with potential but overall missed the mark, I was excited to stay, arriving in the lobby, check-in was a long queue as only one staff member was on duty this evening. The bar and restaurant were closed. At checkin I was handed a key and directed to the lift. As an Accor Gold member it’s always a bonus to feel recognised and learn what benefits have been extended (if any). Room aesthetic is fine, similar to an inner city apartment fit-out. A Nespresso is provided however the coffee mugs do not fit under the machine. The minibar is empty and amenities are on request. Was planning to explore the facilities but received a phone call around 11 advising us we were late to check out. (Accor Gold+ has a late checkout benefit but 12 was the latest this hotel would provide so we rushed to leave. The in house cafe does not recognise the Accor Plus benefit. Tried to enjoy the in house restaurant ‘Miss Mi’ for lunch but the kitchen is closed by 2pm and we were turned away. The hotel brand is renowned for chocolate & ice cream and offers a “chocolate hour” which is a nice touch but the ice cream is not available to adults so we did not get to try it. Overall a mixed experience, could have been so much better if it didn’t feel so regimented & lacking in warmth. If you’re looking for a bed in the city this is a decent option, if you get a good rate. if you’re looking for a premium hotel stay experience or want to get the most from being a premium Accor member then this isn’t it.

We have stayed here a number of times now and every time the reception staff have been exemplary. Gene in particular was helpful and friendly, even remembering my name. The staff call ahead to confirm our stay and determine whether parking is required. Well done Movenpick on Spencer!
